Executive Assistant needed.

Iaan and I are constantly making changes in our business. Not because we can’t make up our minds, but simply because the world that we operate in, is constantly changing. We are both people who welcome change, but to be honest, this one was quite difficult for me to accept.  All three our businesses, Christine Meintjes Photography, The Pretty Blog and Plus Plus Minus has now come to a point where Candice, (my current personal assistant) needs to focus solely on the financial side of things. We’re very proud to say, Candice has moved from PA, to our in-house bookkeeper. With some previous experience and some training, she is now excelling as our in-house financial wiz. But with all the excitement, we are also faced with the fact that she no longer has enough time to juggle both responsibilities. So, after many chats, and realising constant change is the way forward, I would now like to announce that there is a position open at Christine Meintjes Photography, as my ‘executive assistant’.

At first I thought the word ‘executive’ sounds very grown up, but then I googled the term and it’s exactly what I need! Someone who can make decisions, take responsibility, help with administrative duties and overall, assist me with running a smooth business. So if you’re interested in getting involved with my business and would like to apply, please make sure you read through all of the below requirements. Please also note that this position is NOT for anyone interested in becoming a photographer. It is purely an administrative / office assistant role. 

Job description:

Managing the following:

  • Communication with clients, PR relations and all other incoming emails
  • Bookings & Shoots
  • Christine’s personal & professional diary
  • All travel arrangements (booking of flights, accommodation, car rentals etc)
  • All workshop administration and communication
  • All general administration for Christine’s office

The person needs to:

  • Have great professional communication skills, English and Afrikaans, German will be a bonus
  • Love to serve clients and make them happy (very important)
  • Great organisational skills
  • Great time management
  • Be Mac and Internet savvy
  • Need to be able to use online applications with ease
  • Need to be a fast learner
  • Be able to work under pressure and a constantly changing environment
  • Be willing to try new things and challenge themselves
  • Mature enough to handle difficult situations
  • Be able to make a mean cup of coffee
